What should I do before Wood River Steam arrives?

Please remove all knick-knacks, antiques and breakables. I can move most furniture except pianos, armoires, bookcases, entertainment centers and large heavy items.

Be sure to secure all pets.

Please leave instructions on how to secure the property once services are completed.

How long will it take for my carpet to dry?

In most situations, the carpet is dry the same day. I bring in dryers on all jobs. Furniture can go back immediately upon completion with protection under furniture legs.

Dry times can be affected by weather conditions.

What should I do if I have a spill?

Blot excess residue with a clean white towel.

You are safe to apply a small amount of water.

If it is an acid stain (tea, coffee, animal spots, wine) apply white vinegar or club soda.

Keep it damp until I arrive. It is important to not let it dry.

Do I need to be present during the cleaning?

No. You do not need to be present.

Please move vehicles in advance if they will be needed during the cleaning, as my van and equipment will often block access to the garage and entry.

I cover all walking surfaces with protection while I am working. All countertops are covered with white towels while cleaning solutions are being mixed. Pre-conditioners are custom blended for each job.
